COVID-19 Data Tracker Update as of August 3, 2020

As of August 3, 2020, Wisconsin is reporting a rate of 6.1% for positive COVID-19 tests. Among the five midwestern states, Michigan has the lowest rate at 4.8%. The midwest’s percentage of positive tests (6.5%) is below the median for all states (7.4%).

Looking at the two-day change in percentage of positive COVID-19 tests, Wisconsin is reporting 8.4%.

COVIDTracking.com has launched COVIDExitStrategy.org, which shows how each state is performing on key measures.  Here are some stats on how the state of Wisconsin is handling COVID-19 as of August 3, 2020:

  • The target number of tests done daily remains at or above 100% of the goal.
  • Wisconsin is seeing a 43-day doubling time for incidence of COVID-19. Higher doubling times are desirable.
